Over 4.3 million Ukrainian children have been displaced. Some of these children are now orphans in addition to being without homes.
On July 23 – August 2, Operation Care International is going to Poland, Romania, Hungary, and Ukraine to meet the spiritual and physical needs of Ukrainian refugee children.
OCI will also do an outreach at a Poland refugee camp that has over 900 orphans. Since the war, families have been separated. The men had to stay back and fight while the family would flee to a shelter in Ukraine or neighboring country in Poland or Romania or Hungary.
Our goal is to help 5,000 children by providing them:
Over 4.3 million Ukrainian children have been displaced. Since the war, families have been separated. The men had to stay back and fight while the family would flee to a shelter in Ukraine or neighboring country in Poland or Romania or Hungary. Some of these children are now orphans in addition to being without homes.
OCI will do an outreach in each one of those countries and will also go into a shelter in Western Ukraine to bring peace, hope, and comfort to these children and other refugees. Pastor Oleg, who is a Ukrainian pastor, runs five shelters inside of Ukraine with his Russian pediatrician wife, Yulia. They have been our partner since ONEDAY2020, and we have been helping them since the war began. Our team will go into Ukraine and their shelter will be one of our mission outreaches.
OCI will also do an outreach at a Poland refugee camp that has over 900 orphans.
The children of Dallas will be helping the orphans and displaced children of Ukraine by doing a fundraiser by selling lemonade. This will be a fun way to teach the children that we are more blessed to give than to receive.
“Feeding the 5,000” continues to grow! Our goal will be to give 5,000 refugee children backpacks, new shoes t-shirts, and snacks! We will share the good news of Jesus and provide each child with their very own Bible.
OCI’s trademark service is foot-washing, emulating the character of our Lord Jesus Christ. Operation Care International Founder and President, Susie Y. Jennings said, “We saw this urgent need and asked God to send us so we can show God’s love and compassion during this dark time.” Operation Care International’s Director Mike Tirone said, “So many people are coming to the faith, and we can’t wait to bring the good news of Jesus to these hurting children and families.”
You can help as OCI heads to Poland, Romania, Hungary and Ukraine July 23–August 3, 2022 to help these hurting children and families. The need is great, and any amount will impact lives and bring light into the darkness and hope for the future.
Works of love are works of peace.
